“The release of the 2017 vintage marks the 20th Anniversary of Cuvee le Bec. Since the first vintage in 1997, the Cuvee le Bec has not only garnered high scores (90+) and acclaim from the wine media but also has been consistently mentioned as one of California’s greatest wine values from The Wine Spectator to the Wine Advocate to Vinous! The 2017 release is the culmination of the past 20 years of experience in making this wine. Layered, nuanced, textured, beautifully expressive and complex, the 2017 Cuvee le Bec is one of the finest we have ever produced. A blend of 47% Syrah (Purisima Mountain), 34% Grenache (Purisima and Winery Estate Vineyards), 11% Mourvedre (Purisima Mountain) and 7% Counoise (Purisima Mountain), the 2017 explodes out of the glass with red and black fruits, baking spices, pepper, violets, and licorice aromas and flavors. Textured, silky and layered, this is the most elegant and stylistic Cuvee le Bec we have ever produced.Watch our winemaker describe this wine: Click here to view more winemaker videos.”
“This wine is crafted from grapes grown and harvested specifically for this sophisticated Rosé. Fresh aromas of strawberry, tropical fruits, citrus, and rose petals lead to bold flavors of raspberry, pomegranate, watermelon, and cherry. Creamy in texture, the wine has great balancing acidity that keeps it vibrant and fresh through the long fruity finish.”
“Dark chocolate, plum, blackberry, vanilla, black pepper, grilled meats, and game are hallmarks of Purisima Mountain Syrah and the 2016 is loaded with them! Big and powerful, yet elegant and complex, the 2016 is an incredible vintage of PMV Syrah.Watch our winemaker describe this wine: Click here to view more winemaker videos.”
“Complex flavors and aromas of black raspberry, plum, pomegranate, cherry, brown sugar, baker’s spice, dried cranberry, and pepper highlight the 2016 vintage. The wine reminds me of the great 2001, 2003, 2007 and 2013 PMV Grenache vintages and is in line to be among the finest we have ever produced. Crafted with 90% Grenache and 10% Syrah.Watch our winemaker describe this wine: Click here to view more winemaker videos.”
“Our first Syrah release for the 2016 vintage, the 2016 Purisima Mountain Vineyard Clone #1 Syrah is drinking beautifully upon release. Classic Clone #1 aromas and flavors of smoke, espresso roast, game, and blackberry fruits are abundant in this vintage. The wine is full, rich, and round with great texture, balanced acidity, and a long finish. Once again a terrific vintage of Clone #1 Syrah! Drink 2018 – 2030.Watch our winemaker describe this wine: Click here to view more winemaker videos.”
“A milder growing season has delivered a Block Eight Grenache that is very reminiscent of the 2015 vintage. Bright and complex, the wine has great depth and purity of flavor and aroma. Filled with white pepper, nutmeg, clove, and, of course, plenty of raspberry and strawberry fruit, the 2017 Block Eight is very lifted and pliant across the palate, with a long finish and fine-grained tannins. This wine will benefit from a little additional cellaring for 6-9 months and will drink beautifully for the next 10-12 years. Crafted from 100% certified Biodynamic Grenache grapes.Watch our winemaker describe this wine: Click here to view more winemaker videos.”
