What type of tasting flight do you offer?
We offer a tasting flight of six, estate grown wines for $20, which you are welcome to share.
Should we make reservations?
Reservations are not required. However, for groups of 6 or more we appreciate a reservation. This way we can pick the best time that works for you where we can offer personal service and make sure your experience is enjoyable.
Do you offer tours?
We offer an Experience Beckmen Tour daily at 11am and by appointment. You will embark with one of our knowledgeable guides to tour our winemaking facilities and learn how we turn grapes into wine, step into our vineyard to a close-up view of our grapes and find out why they’re Biodynamic, and discover what makes Beckmen Vineyards so unique. The tour finishes in the tasting room where you can sit back, relax, and enjoy one of the best wine country views in the valley, overlooking our ponds and vineyard. During the wine tasting tour, you will sample six wines. The tour and tasting will last between 45 – 60 minutes and costs $25 ($5 for the tour without the wine tasting). Call us to make a reservation, as space is limited on each tour.
Can we have a picnic on your vineyard?
You are more than welcome to picnic at one of our four gazebos or on the lawn around our ponds! Call us to make a reservation, as they book up quickly. For groups of nine people or more, we charge an hourly fee of $50 and require you fill out a Site Agreement form. This can be completed upon arrival at the vineyard.
Do you rent out your property for events?
Sorry, but we do not rent out our property for private events.
Do you have a wine club?
We have an excellent wine club with quarterly shipments. You will receive new releases and exclusive wine club wines every 3 months. You will also get 20% off all wine purchases and invites to parties, futures tastings, and special events/deals. We have many tiers to our wine club to suit your needs. For more information, please visit the Wine Club page on this website.
Can you ship your wine?
Absolutely! We are happy to take special orders and ship wine to your doorstep. However, there are a few states that we cannot ship to due to licensing or existing laws. For more info, visit our Online Store and put an order in today!
Where can I purchase Beckmen wines in other states?
Our wines are distributed all over the United States. For a current list, check our Store Locator on the website or feel free to call the tasting room for information on our distribution.

There are many beautiful hotels and inns in the area. We recommend ForFriends Inn, Hamlet Inn, Ballard Inn, Mirabelle, and Santa Ynez Inn. For more information go to our Visiting The Vineyard section of our website.
Are there restaurants for lunch and dinner in the area?
The Santa Ynez Valley is known for innovative and farm-to-table chefs. We love Sides Hardware and Shoes, Industrial Eats, Grappolo, SY Kitchen, Los Olivos Café, Bob’s Well Bread, Bell St. Farm, Red Barn, Petro’s, Restaurant at Ballard Inn, Succulent Café, and much more!
Do you allow kids?
Yes, as long as they are under parent-supervision.
Do you have lunch available?
We do not offer lunch on site, but we encourage you to bring a picnic lunch and sit at one of our four gazebos by our two ponds or bring a blanket and sit in the grass. As a wine club member, you are able to reserve gazebos ahead of time, otherwise they are on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Are you dog-friendly?
Yes. We love meeting your doggie friends. However, we ask that if you bring your dog, you do your tasting out on the patio so as not to bother other members in the tasting room (especially those with allergies). We will do our best to come out to the patio and pour your wines for you and make sure you and your dog have an awesome experience.
What does PMV stand for?
PMV stands for Purisima Mountain Vineyard which is our premier vineyard in the Ballard Canyon AVA. The unique micro climate, as well as its complex range of soil types, exposures, and elevations makes it ideal for producing world-class Rhône varietals. PMV is farmed biodynamically and is about 300 acres with a combination of vineyards, beef and pork livestock, and gardens.
What are biodynamic certified grapes?
An organic farming system based on the 1920s teachings of Rudolf Steiner. It emphasizes a holistic approach to farming that is sustainable, self-nourishing, and builds soil life and vitality. The nine different preparations used in biodynamic farming ensure that the fields are prepared, compost is used as a natural enrichment, and no pesticides and herbicides are used. The process is fascinating and much more complex than this. We encourage you to explore our website or visit our tasting room and ask questions from any of our knowledgeable staff.
